Legal Implications in Cases Involving Limb Loss

A presentation which discusses the legal implications in limb loss. This webinar will discuss the most common reasons for inpatient (IV infiltration, infection, sepsis) and community acquired limb loss (trauma) which result in litigation. Education will also focus on the role of the legal nurse consultant in these cases.

Participants will:

Recognize 3 reasons limb loss result in litigation
Understand 3 major concepts of amputation rehabilitation
Be able to verbalize/recite several resources for amputation/limb loss cases
Understand the financial impact of limb loss and delineate the impact depending upon the age, level of amputation, and co-morbidities
